Situated in serene natural surroundings, Ripplewood Resort offers charming, comfortable, and clean cabins for your overnight stay in Big Sur. Nine accommodations are set among redwood groves along the Big Sur River while hillside units have forest, meadow and mountain vistas. All riverside cabins and three on the hillside have kitchens, picture windows, campfire rings, decks and/or picnic yards ideal for reading, relaxing, and enjoying nature.
Kitchens are equipped with basic cookware, dishes, and utensils. Coffee makers, bathroom amenities, and fridges are in all units. A bundle of firewood is provided daily for cabins with indoor fireplaces. All units receive housekeeping services, and complimentary hot coffee is available in the general store.
Guests are welcome to walk the scenic lanes of the resort and have access to the swimming hole, a favorite place for families to spend their summer afternoons. Camp chairs are recommended for relaxing on the beach by the clear waters of the Big Sur River. Ripplewood Resort is also conveniently located near state parks, hiking trails, beaches and other area attractions.

Enjoy a delicious bountiful meal in our bright, cozy, cafe dining room or sunny garden patio. Our popular signature dishes include made-from-scratch buttermilk pancakes, omelets, house-made granola, huevos rancheros, rosti hash browns and grilled potato gratin cakes. Burgers and sandwiches come with a generous side of fries or green salad tossed with our house vinaigrette. We also serve espresso.

Ripplewood Resort is home to a Chevron Gas Station, staffed with attendants who provide tourist information with a smile and a twinkle in the eye. The store and gas station open daily at 8:00 AM.
Situated to the north of the Chevron Station is the Monterey County Free Library, Big Sur Branch (an attraction in its own right for people who love to read) where free public wi-fi is available 24/7.
